CROWN LIFTING
A Crown Lift is the removal or pruning of lower branches in order to increase the clearance beneath the tree. It can also be used to increase light levels.
CROWN THINNING
Crown thinning is the selective removal of branches throughout the canopy of the tree. This is to enable more light to pass through the tree when the size of the tree is not compromised.
SECTION FELLING
Felling a tree is the removal of a tree. The tree is de-limbed and dismantled to ground level in sections where a climber dismantles the tree and lowers sections to the ground. Smaller trees can be felled in one.
DEADWOOD REMOVAL
Deadwood removal can be undertaken along side any of the above works or alone. It is the removal of dead branches and limbs from trees for safety reasons and to improve the look of the tree.
HEDGE TRIMMING
Hedge trimming is pruning a hedge and tidying it up. This will promote thickening of the hedge and improve the aesthetics of the hedge by defining it's shape whether geometric or fanciful.
FORRESTRY
Forestry is the science and craft of creating, managing, using, conserving, and repairing forests and associated resources to meet desired goals, needs, and values for human and environment benefits.
